The purpose of the workshop will be to help participants come to a better understanding of ethical issues related to digital research, to find solutions to them and to use ICT tools to address them. It will involve working through methodologies and technical requirements that will help members of the community to successfully identify and address ethical issues they are likely to encounter or have previously encountered.

The activities will be informed by ongoing research from the FRRIICT (Framework for Responsible Research and Innovation in ICT) which has given an indication of the ethical issues that arise from research in and using ICT. Participants will be invited to propose ethical issues from their experience to structure the discussion.
